Country Magic by Liath Sahjaza

Country Magic: A View into a Southern Witch's Practice        by Liath Sahjaza

Author Liath Sahjaza shares a candid and charismatic peek into the world of her personal form of Witchcraft. Born and raised in middle Alabama, she discusses her influences, obstacles and wisdom gained directly from her Grandmother, and other forms of folk magic such as Hoodoo, Pow-Wow, Appalachian Granny Magic, as well as common sense.

This is not a Wicca or Neo-Pagan book of magic spells, it is her revelation of being a Gray Witch. Her practices revolve around the living the craft as a lifestyle and focus on personal empowerment, self-love, and developing one's own natural abilities. She does not recognize any specific pantheon of practice, allowing the magical gems within this book to apply to witches of all paths.

Liath Sahjaza was born, raised, and continues to live in East Central Alabama. While she does live in the Bible Belt where one would not think would be breeding grounds for raising young witches, Liath shares a candid and charismatic peek into the world of her personal form of Witchcraft, and how it can be done no matter where you live.

She discusses her influences, obstacles, and wisdom gained directly from her Grandmother and other forms of folk magic such as Hoodoo, Pow-Wow, Appalachian Granny Magic, as well as plain common sense.

After marrying her husband, the birth of her daughter, and the passing of her grandmother, Liath stepped away from the craft. However, after dealing with several life experiences that were less than kind, it opened Liath’s eyes to how empty her life was without her magical routines. She has now been married for 25 years and her daughter is grown with a husband of her own.

Along the way, Liath met Goddess Rosemary Sahjaza, who brought her into the fold of Temple House Sahjaza. Her life has been much enriched by finding like minds that lift each other up in the atmosphere created there. She serves as Priestess and High Elder.

This is not a Wicca or Neo-Pagan book of magic spells, it is Liath's revelation of being a Gray Witch. Her practices revolve around living the craft as a lifestyle and focus on personal empowerment, self-love, and developing one's own natural abilities.
